1. Use a NACS sweep to clean flue as per recommendations.
2. Burn good hard wood that’s seasoned and has a moisture content of less than 18%.
3. Don’t allow fires to slumber at low temperatures.
4. Begin burning with a small hot fire and add to it slowly.
